A cluster of six faceted pink topaz adorn both of the 18k yellow gold earrings. With a total weight of 6.00 carats, their hues range from soft peony pink to pastel lilac undertones.
The topaz gems are set in crown-shaped galleries with tiny beaded tips and are open-backed, letting through all possible light. This setting style was introduced around the 1840's to 1850s for the first time in jewelry history.
Between each of the topaz are five-pointed, textured leaves of gold. Similar in form to an oak leaf, they impart an organic touch to the flower shaped clusters.
Likely these had a long dangle that was removable.
